With great honor and pleasure, we would like to announce that the wonderful calming and relaxing music of Michał Malewski will be featured on our published videos from Sardinia. # Which Sardegna location did we choose?

For someone who has never been to Sardinia, it is worth booking 2-3 places to sleep. For us it was Tertenia, Palau and Alghero, and certainly a rental car. Topographically, Sardinia is a mountainous island with many archipelagos and a huge variety of landscapes. When you choose a location and rent a car, make sure that the exit route is easily accessible, because you can sometimes spend half of your vacation in serpentines. The east of the island is quite quiet for tourists, so if you are looking for a quiet holiday you will not be disappointed. The north is more commercial and more expensive, but with that comes its beauty. The color of the water that can be found there is reminiscent of the tropics and beautiful rocks wonderfully decorate the area.

# How can you get there?

As every Island there is a many flights and 3 main airports: Cagliari, Alghero, Olbia
  
In season most of the country's bigger cities have regular flights with Ryanair 2-ce a week. 
We chose arrival to Cagliari and departure from Alghero to visit as many places as we can. 
Of course, like every island, it also has many ports. In addition to those where we have airports, there are also Santa Teresa, Porto Torres and many smaller ones such as Palau, Golfo Aranchi and Arbatax, many cruises have offers straight to Sardinia.

# Which restaurants did we dined in?

As for the number of restaurants, it is difficult to list them all, but the better ones can certainly be recognized by the fee added to the bill (coperto), the higher the fee, the better the restaurant. An important thing, when someone recommends the name of a restaurant, be sure to check the location because they often have similar names and then you may be disappointed when it's not the one you expected. 

I also don't agree that Italians get upset when you order cappuccino with lunch, they simply don't eat that way, but they understand that tourists come from different regions of the world with different habits.

However, it is worth switching to the Sardinian culture while there, it makes life much easier. When wine serves us well for long evenings, in the morning coffee ( for hangover)  and a sweet breakfast start to go well together 😊.

# How did we get there?

There is only one airport on the island, but it is completely sufficient - Ioannis Kapodistrias. 

During the high season, airplant depart several times a week from most European countries. When you travel from another continent, you do not have to change planes in Athens, you can also visit another country because, with a high probability there is also a direct flight to Corfu.

However, like most Greek islands, the cruise supply is even greater. It is easy to get from Corfu to Albania by hydrofoil Corfu - Saranda, as well as in the other direction, while cruises to mainland Greece run to Corfu Town as well as to the Port of Lefkimmi.

# Which location did we choose?

We decided to go to the town of Liapades, which has a beautiful beach with several restaurants. We took a bus from the airport, unfortunately the stop where we got off was about 1.5 km away, it was a bit difficult with luggage, but it was worth it. The second option was, of course, a taxi, but 7 euros vs. 60 euros sounded tempting.

Liapades is quite competitive with Paleokastritsa, but it is more intimate and there are many beautiful beaches within walking distance (Liapades, Rovinia, Limni).

We highly recommend this area because the water from the Adriatic Sea may be colder, but much cleaner.

The north of the island is crowded with tourists, but it attracts with its views (beautiful cliffs look spectacular). The southern tip of the island is quite low, but the beaches are often long and wide.

# Which restaurants did we dined in?

There are a few that we visited.Greek cuisine is very homogeneous, lots of seafood interspersed with gyros. Vegetarians and vegans often have to make concessions, but Greeks are very polite people and will do anything to please a picky eater.

# How did we get there?

The island of Hvar can only be reached by ferry. It is a large island, but it does not have an airport, but nothing is lost because the ferry trip provides a lot of endorphins, and it only takes two hours from Split. You can enjoy amazing views of nature, mountains, birds and other boats. When you get to the island of Hvar, you will find that you are in Stari Grad, as it is the main port of the island. There is also a port in the town of Hvar, but most of the boats going there are luxury yachts and not commercial cruises. A more commercial and secondary port is Sucuraj, from where you can sail to Drvenik in half an hour.

# Which location did we choose?

We decided to go to the town of Hvar to have constant access to the nightlife, but at the same time the peace and quiet we found 2 km from the city center. Once you reach the town of Hvar you will not be disappointed, this beautiful town offers a variety of restaurants, nightlife, a beautiful port, a large fortress and numerous beaches where you will surely relax during your vacation. Hvar is close to beautiful beaches such as Pokojny Dol, Robinson, Makecevica.

These are just examples of places, but the city of Hvar has such a wide range of dishes offered that it is difficult to choose the best one. Even vegans will find plenty of choice. Hvar is a city of prosperity, this can be seen by the beautiful boats and famous people who visit this island.
