
# What is the recipe story?

Cauliflower salad is a recipe that is often used by our mums to make something quick and delicious, usually for breakfast served with bread toast or for dinner as an appetizer. The ingredients of this salad fit together like a puzzle, creating a unique taste. This recipe is for two persons. 


# What are the ingredients?

- 🛒 1/2 cream (12-18%)

- 🛒 1 spoon of Mayonnaise
- 🛒 Salt

# How to prepare the salad?

📎 Start by placing the slicer on the table and preparing the small bowls for the ingredients. I like how all the ingredients are organized after cutting. Optionally, you can throw the ingredients into big bowl that you will use for the salad.

📎 The tomatos come first. Cut them in half and then on the moon. The shape is not so important here, but the point is that the tomato pieces are not small. After slicing two to three tomatoes, put them in a bowl

📎 Next, hard-boil the eggs. I always pour water into a pot, throw eggs in there, put on an induction hob and cook them at 80% of the hob's power. I set the alarm for 10 minutes. It all depends on what equipment you have, but generally the point is that the eggs are hard-boiled

📎 After boiling the eggs, drain the water from the pot and pour cold water over them so that the eggs become colder and easier to remove the shell from them. So, until the eggs are at the right temperature, remove the shell from them. The shell lands in the garbage and the eggs, after peeling them, rinse with cold water. This is to keep the salad cold

📎 Cut the eggs in half lengthwise and in half again so that the pieces also resemble half moons. Place all the pieces in a small bowl.

📎 The next step is to prepare Mr. Cauliflower for cooking. You should cut off the leaves, if there are any, wash them thoroughly and throw them into a previously flooded pot with water. Also cook around 10-15 minutes on 80% of the induction hob. It is important that the cauliflower is not overcooked, but also that it is not too hard. It is worth trying a piece of it with a fork during cooking, provided that it has cooled down from the pot - all so as not to burn yourself.

📎 After cooking the cauliflower, I suggest draining the water and pouring it cold so that it cools down, also contributing to lowering the temperature of the salad.

📎 After draining the water, cut / divide Mr. Cauliflower into small bouquets, not too small and not too big, and throw all the pieces into a small bowl

📎 The next step is to prepare the salad. Add the tomatoes and cauliflower to a large bowl and mix well.

📎 In a smaller bowl on the side, it's time to prepare the sauce. Open the cream and pour half of it into a bowl. Add mayo. Cut into small pieces or squeeze the garlic and add it to the cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix the sauce thoroughly. You can prepare this sauce the day before and if you put it in the fridge it will absorb garlic more. It all depends if you like garlic.

📎 Pour the prepared sauce into a large bowl in which Mr. Cauliflower and Mr. Tomato are waiting for him. Mix everything again

📎 Cut the spring onion leaves into rings and put them in the salad. Stir again with a spoon

📎 It is important that the eggs are placed last on top of the salad and do not mix them, because then the hard yolks would separate from the whites and the salad would lose its sparkle. Enjoy your meal, my friend.



Cauliflower Salad


# What is the recipe story?

Pickled cucumbers have been produced in Polish families for generations. Every family has its own unique best recipe. We will tell you ours. According to some nations, pickled cucumbers are rotten cucumbers. Please don't believe it 😀.


# What are the ingredients?

- 🛒 Cucumbers to cover the jar
- 🛒 3 cloves of garlic
- 🛒 2 slices of bread
- 🛒 1 bouquet of dill
- 🛒 5 grapes leaves
- 🛒 2 cherry leaves
- 🛒 Water to fill the jar
- 🛒 Salt according to proportion (1 table spoon per 1 litre of water)


# What are main kitchen tools required?

- 🔨 Jar
- 🔨 Kettle to boil the water
- 🔨 Table spoon
  
# How to prepare them?

📎 Go shopping and stock up on short cucumbers

📎 Prepare yourself some space on the table and place a clean jar on it.

📎 Wash the purchased cucumbers and put a few of them in the jar so that they cover its bottom.

📎 Throw in 1 grain of garlic, 2 leaves of grapes and 1 leaf of cherry.

📎 Then load another layer of cucumbers so that there is still some room for the next one.

📎 Toss in the remaining garlic and cherry leaves and wine leaves. Toss in more cucumbers, covering them with a bunch of dill. 

📎 Boil the water and dissolve the salt in it (1 tablespoon of salt per 1 liter of water). Stir the salt brine so that the salt dissolves thoroughly.

📎 Then pour salt on the jar and put 2 slices of bread in it at the end (Bread speeds up pickling). Place the still open jar in the safest coldest place (not in the fridge).

📎 Cucumbers can be eaten after 4 days. After 4 days remove brad from the jar and place the jar in the fridge. This method of making cucumbers is intended for short-term storage (these are not cucumbers that can be kept for a long time).  Happy cucamberrrsssss !!!!!




Pickled Cucambers


# What is the recipe story?

"Pieczonki" or "Prażonki", are potatoes roasted in a cast-iron cauldron over fire, is a traditional dish originating from the city of Poręba (close to Zawiercie). The production of cauldrons used for baking food in the fire was started by the non-existent FUM Poręba plant. Currently, such cast-iron cauldron can be purchased in construction stores. We recommend this recipe for everyone who wants to celebrate event such as birthday - of course, in a place where you can safely light a fire. Meal from one 5kg cast-iron cauldron can feed 10 persons easily. The version we are always preparing is the one without carrots and beetroot. We believe the recipe below is the best one. 

# What are the ingredients?

- 🛒 3-4kg of potatoes
- 🛒 4 big onions
- 🛒 0.5-1kg of sausage 
- 🛒 400g of raw smoked bacon
- 🛒 1 lump of lard
- 🛒 Pepper
- 🛒 Salt 


# What are tools required?

- 🔨 1 Cast-iron cauldron
- 🔨 1 Big pot or a bowl
- 🔨 2 Plates
- 🔨 1 or 2 cabbage leaves or baking paper
- 🔨 Fire wood
- 🔨 1 Lighter
- 🔨 1 Knife
  
# How to prepare the meal?

📎 Buy cast-iron cauldron if you do not own one (We recommend 3 to 5 kg one). 

📎 Peel each potato, wash under cold water and put in a bowl.
📎 Cut the onions into slices and put it on a plate. 
📎 Cut the sausage into slices and put it on a plate. & cut the bacon into oblong pieces and place it on the plate. All prepared sliced sausage and bacon should look similar as on below picture:

📎 Put the cast-iron cauldron in a convenient place and show off its sides with pieces of bacon

📎 Then take the first potato out of the bowl and cut it into ½ inch pieces. Put each potato slice into cast-iron cauldron to create potato layer - the thickness of the potato layer is at your discretion - when creating bottom layer use small whole potatoes (as shown on below picture) - reason is that at the bottom of the cauldron they will be baked the hardest.

📎 Next, salt and pepper to your taste the first layer of potatoes and start covering it with slices of sausage to create layer of sausage and after on top of it create layer of sliced onions. That way you will have first layer of seasoned  potatoes, sausages and onions completed. 

📎 Repeat the process to create next layers (instead of using whole potatoes use sliced ones for next layers). 

📎 After second layer please put lump of lard on top of it - it is improtant as when roasting, the lard will add flavor and color. 

📎 When you reach with layers to top of the cast-iron cauldron cover  it with  1 or 2 cabbage leaves or baking paper. After doing this, strongly screw the lid on. 

📎 Light the fire and put the cauldron on a sharp fire and roast for 15 minutes. Then spread the wood so that the dish does not burn in a strong fire for another 30 minutes.

📎 After around 45 minutes the dish is ready. Be careful when opening the lid as it may be hot and hot steam may escape. Put a spoonful of food on the plate and make sure it is not too hot. Add some salad of your choice. Traditionally, when eating this meal we drink kefir, some people prefer vodka, but these are adults and who do it at their own risk if you know what I'm talking about. Potato Roasties with Susage


# What is the recipe story?

When we wonder what to eat for dinner, we always have this meal in mind because it is quick to make, easy to prepare and nutritious, saturating our body sufficiently. If you decide to do it, trust me, you won't regret it. A small note: if you are entitled to alcohol, it is worth consuming this dish with a glass of wine, then in my opinion it tastes best. The recipe is for 2-3 people and the time needed to make it is about half an hour


# What are the ingredients?

- 🛒 1 zucchini
- 🛒 1 can of chopped tomatoes
- 🛒 1-2 onions
- 🛒 1 bunch of parsley (keep few pieces for decoration)
- 🛒 10 spring onion leaves (keep last one for decoration)
- 🛒 2 cloves of garlic
- 🛒 100 g of grated parmesan
- 🛒 extra virgin olive oil
- 🛒 200g of spaghetti noodles 
- 🛒 100 ml of white wine
- 🛒 salt
- 🛒 pepper
- 🛒 hot pepper

- 🔨 A frying pan or pot for frying spaghetti

# How to prepare it?

📎 Before you start, make sure all vegetables are washed and ready for action. Next, start by organizing the recipe station. Place slicers and small bowls in a strategic place where you will put the chopped ingredients. Find a good knife and be careful not to cut yourself if you sharpen it too much. Okay, time to start playing.

📎 Peel Mrs. Zucchini from the skin and then cut it lengthwise in half, then in half again and cut the strips created in this way into 1 to 2 centimeter pieces, depending on how thick you like. The thicker they are, the longer they will have to stay in the pot / pan during cooking.
Put the chopped pieces in a small bowl.

📎 Peel & chop the onions into small dice. I like a lot of onions so for two persons I use two but maybe you prefer less so go ahead and cut only one. Put the chopped pieces into next small bowl.

📎 Squeeze or mince two garlic cloves and put them into next small bowl.

📎 Carefully open the can of chopped tomatoes and pour its contents into another bowl.

📎 Separate some of the leaves from the parsley and finely chop the resulting pieces and throw them into the next small bowl.

📎 Slice the spring onion leaves and add to the next small bowl

📎 Grate the parmesan cheese or cut it into very thin pieces and put it in another bowl

📎 If you prefer the spice of hot pepper its fresh equivalent, cut it into small cubes and add to the bowl with garlic

📎 Time to heat up the pan. I always use 80% burner power. Depending on what equipment you have, always be careful not to burn yourself. Okay, so let's start. Pour the olive oil into the heated pan so that it covers the entire surface of the pan. Then throw in the onions and garlic (with hot fresh pepper - if you prefer it instead of the spice) and fry until the onion is translucent.

📎 Then add Mrs Zucchini. Mix it in the pan with onion-garlic-olive juices. Zucchini likes more company, so add some parsley and spring onions. Stir again while frying

📎 Keep an eye on the pan to make sure nothing is burning. If so, reduce the fire. It's time to toss in the chopped tomatoes along with the sauce that was in the can. Mix it all up. Reduce the burner power to about 50% and add the wine. Make sure there is no lid on the pan or pot, depending on what you are using. 

📎 After adding the wine, it's time to season our work. Add salt and pepper and hot paprika. I suggest you pour in small portions, mix and try in this way you will make sure that you do not overdo it with any of the spices. Mix the food well. From this moment, we reduce the dish so we wait until the water evaporates during cooking and the sauce thickens. It takes more or less 10-20 minutes. The rule is watch your work.

📎 Time to cook the spaghetti noodles. Take a pot, pour water over it and cook until aldente according to the instructions on the pasta package. After the pasta is cooked, drain it.

📎It's time to invite our other half and put some delicious spaghetti on the plate. We start by putting the pasta on a plate and then, using a ladle, pour the sauce over the pasta. Sprinkle the dish with Parmesan cheese and decorate with fresh parsley and spring onion leaves. We wish you a good one.
