Hvar City

Croatia, Hvar, Pokonji Dol

Amazing Hvar City with romantic views, plenty of great restaurants, lively nighlife and port with a variety of boats. The city is guarded by a beautiful fortress, which is worth visiting, especially during sunset. The town is very charming and old, the city walls come from the 7th century, you can visit many galleries and museums here. Hvar is famous for its tradition of creating agave fiber for fishing nets. And the island itself is known as lavender. You can find lavender souvenirs everywhere. You can only get there by ferry from Split to Stari Grad and then by car. Unless you have a private yacht, then Hvar will be the most welcoming 🙂. You can meet many celebrities there. The island, and in particular the city, is characterized by high standards of both housing and taste, many of which are unrivaled. Croatia itself is the place where truffles are obtained, which is why national mushrooms are featured in most menus.
